Abstract:

To explore the impact of the digital economy on the value realization efficiency of agricultural ecological products in the Yellow River Basin， and to further improve this efficiency in the region， this paper employs panel data from nine provinces （autonomous regions） in the Yellow River Basin from 2011 to 2024. We adopt the entropy weight method to measure the digital economy development level，use the Super-SBM model to estimate the value realization efficiency of agricultural ecological products， and construct bidirectional fixed effects， mediating effect， and spatial Durbin models for empirical analysis. The results indicate that： （1） Both the level of digital economy development and the value realization efficiency of agricultural ecological products in the Yellow River Basin show a fluctuating upward trend over the study period， while the development gap between provinces is widening. （2） The digital economy significantly promotes improvements in the value realization efficiency of agricultural ecological products in the Yellow River Basin， with a more pronounced effect in its lower reaches. （3） The digital economy enhances the value realization efficiency of agricultural ecological products in the Yellow River Basin through technological innovation and industrial structure upgrading.（4） The digital economy generates a positive spatial spillover effect in boosting the value realization efficiency of agricultural ecological products in the Yellow River Basin， which contributes to efficiency improvements in neighboring provinces.
